Vena Vs.
Theoretical Basis
Where does an epiphany come from? Is it the result of a series of predestined thoughts? In a precise order? What if we miss a thought, where does the epiphany go? What comes first, the epiphany, the thought, or the order of thought?
Vena Vs. explores these questions through a story about the competition of epiphanies. How fast does epiphany Y change the universe in relation to epiphany X? This rate of change is a main character in the story and will be reflected within the scientific and technological fields of:
Similar to neurons in the cerebral cortex connecting patterns, Vena Vs. honors the brain’s diligent organization and blissful ambiguity. Blissful? Yes. For once our brain knows something, we can never not know it. And once the universe creates something, it can never not have created it.
Epiphany and universe expansion are synonymous. So, if ignorance is bliss, is epiphany torture?
Depends on the epiphany.
Story
Vena was born on the winner’s planet, Auld, the golden mecca, the center of all universes. But Vena never felt like a winner. She secretly identified more with the non-planet nobody talked about, Auth, the galactic garbage shoot, the plane of losers, the space between significance. Why didn’t her home feel like home?
Maybe Vena didn’t feel like she fit because all of her Earths — the life rocks she refereed and was in charge of scoring — never won the great Epiphany Race. In the last round, Enoon, Vena’s ex-boyfriend, Auld’s golden child, reffed the Earth that won — so annoying. Enoon got the Victus Trophy and all of his Earth ascended up to Auld to begin their Exhibition of Success tour showing off how fast they beat civilization.
Vena hated watching the Success Showings…and listening to Enoon’s point-keeping. She didn’t care that Enoon's Earth epiphany-scored higher than the last Earth winner. Who cares if one Earth created fire a thousand years earlier than the last Earth? She should care, everyone cares about the points of success…What was wrong with her? Vena was one of the few born a winner, given the gift of overseeing existence’s progress — why did knowing the answer to everything feel like a burden? Oh! Vena’s Earth wins! Ah, Vena has her very first epiphany! Wow — the losers are the real winners? Vena vs. the beginning. And it doesn’t end with a Victus Trophy.

What are epiphanies? Why are some thoughts more important than others? How does our brain arrive at a core knowing or “truth”? Why do certain epiphanies take hold of civilization and become universal? How does the brain decide what to believe?

If atoms make up the universe and humans are made up of atoms, how have humans affected the universe? How has the change within human civilization affected the universe’s trajectory? Does an epiphany of one being affect the rate of change within the universe?
